Colaiste Feirste
Project Details
The Education Authority required additional teaching space for Coláiste Feirste to accommodate 120 students. As a solution, this 120m² offsite project consisted of 16 CTX Plusline modules, creating 4 modular classrooms at Coláiste Feirste.
The project began in August and, thanks to efficient planning, finished in time for the start of the new school year.
Furthermore, the team prepared a turnkey finish, working closely with the EA to ensure a smooth handover for September.

Offsite solution
P McVey Building Systems served as the main contractor for this project, working alongside the Department of Education to provide an offsite solution. Consequently, the new accommodation offered a safe working environment for all the students attending Coláiste Feirste.
Facility
The team manufactured the 16 CTX modules offsite using our plug-and-play system, which allowed the team to complete on-site connections in just one week. As a result, the team worked efficiently to finish the additional teaching space, ensuring no disruption to the start of the new school year.
Furthermore, the team used our Jack-Pad system to rapidly install the classrooms without requiring any excavation. This system effectively addressed ground level discrepancies, and the team set it up within just two days. Additionally, to further minimize disruption to the active school, the team installed all service connections from overhead. In total, the Plusline units made up 4 classrooms, each measuring 55m².
