Project Information
P McVey Building Systems recently delivered high-quality modular office and welfare buildings for Woodvale Natural World Products. The client needed a rapid expansion to integrate office and welfare spaces into their existing infrastructure. Our goal was to meet operational needs while minimising disruption to ongoing activities. The ground floor includes a kitchen and canteen, an accessible WC with shower, male and female toilets, and a utilities/plant room. The first floor houses a boardroom, a manager’s office, and a main office area. Built with a full anti-vandal steel frame and timber infill wall panels, the building provides strength, security, and durability.
Externally, the modular structure features 60mm composite wall cladding attached to light-gauge steel panels, offering excellent insulation and weather protection. Internally, vinyl-faced plasterboard, UPVC windows, steel-insulated external doors, and oak veneer internal doors with PVC-wrapped timber frames ensure a professional, low-maintenance finish.
Offsite Solution
By using offsite modular construction, P McVey delivered a fast, efficient solution. The units were manufactured and assembled in a controlled factory environment, ensuring consistent quality, precision, and safety. Moreover, this approach allowed thorough quality checks, reduced on-site disruption, and minimised delays.
Offsite construction significantly shortened the project timeline compared to traditional methods. The modular units were quickly transported to site and integrated seamlessly into the existing facility. As a result, the project achieved rapid deployment and provided fully operational office and welfare spaces. Health, safety, and sustainability were priorities throughout. Staff followed strict safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment. Furthermore, the modular approach enhanced energy efficiency and performance standards, delivering flexible, modern spaces that meet operational requirements.
