Over 1.2 million steps taken to support local health charities
Patrick Maguire’s charity challenge stands out as one of the most inspiring individual fundraising efforts in our community. He completed more than 1,260,000 steps to support three local health charities: S.T.E.P.S, A.L.P.S, and The Hub. These organisations provide essential mental health and wellbeing services, which made Patrick’s effort both meaningful and timely.
His challenge lasted several weeks and demanded discipline, resilience, and a strong commitment to helping others. Throughout Patrick walked every day and often set out early in the morning or late in the evening to reach his targets. His consistency quickly drew attention from colleagues, friends, and local supporters. As a result, many people donated or helped share the fundraiser across the community.
At P McVey Building Systems, we are extremely proud of Patrick and his commitment to improving local wellbeing. Patrick Maguire’s Charity Challenge proves that consistent effort, even in small steps, can lead to extraordinary results. Patrick has demonstrated that one individual truly can make a meaningful difference in their community.
