McVey’s Riders & Striders 2024

Charity Challenge success Raised £15,000 for Local Charities

P McVey Building Systems’ modular building specialists proudly led the McVey Riders and Striders 100-Hour Charity Challenge. This inspiring event allowed employees to directly participate in every aspect, combining teamwork, dedication, and community spirit to raise funds for two vital causes: The Olive Branch and Charis Cancer Care.

The challenge ran from 8am on Monday 16th December to 12 noon on Friday 20th December. Employees cycled and walked in shifts around the clock. Their continuous effort ensured the event ran for the full 100 hours. The company initially set a fundraising goal of £4,000. Thanks to strong support from staff, local businesses, and the wider community, the team raised an astonishing £15,000 more than triple the original target. These funds directly support Charis Cancer Care and The Olive Branch, helping both charities continue essential work.
